Julius Baer has released its inaugural edition of the Global Wealth and Lifestyle Report 2020, which tracks the price trends of premium goods and services in the Julius Baer Lifestyle Index across 28 cities globally. The report also features a special focus on ‘conscious consumption’, highlighting how ethical choices about the environment and sustainability are causing a rethink in what it means to live well today.
I found this report extremely interesting and would recommend it to anyone interested in lifestyle design and wealth. I was also happy to see that Barcelona was found to be one of the cheapest destinations in the world for luxury goods and services. From my experience, this is true, however real estate quality in Barcelona is far behind some of the leading cities, and there is an increasingly socialist and anti-entrepreneurship vibe in the city which worries me a bit.
