I have been using Stripe as of recently as it’s finally available in many European countries. I’m really happy with this payment gateway, it’s much simpler and straightforward to set up than 2Checkout or PayPal, which are the systems I’ve used before the arrival of Stripe.
Now, Stripe also charges some fees for processing transactions, although again they are much more transparent and lower than PayPal’s.
You can also get €20,000 fee-free, which is what I’ve done. There is a little known offer that is available if you sign up for FoundersCard, which I would recommend signing up to anyway even if it’s not for this specific reason.
FoundersCard gives many discounts on software, airport lounges, and many other services and products that entrepreneurs and founders need. I’ve also used it to get a discount on a 1Password subscription, for example.
All you need to do is to click this link and sign up. The link will also give you a special discount of $200 on the membership to FoundersCard.
The Stripe offer applies to members in the US, UK, Canada or any Eurozone country supported by Stripe.
Here’s some information about FoundersCard:
FoundersCard was started to reward entrepreneurs for doing their part to change the world.
In 1997, our Founder Eric Kuhn, started VarsityBooks, an early internet business and went through the ups and downs that every entrepreneur uniquely experiences.
After raising over $40 million in venture capital, hiring over 200 employees and going public, the market crashed and within months, the company was de-listed. But Eric refused to give up. He completely changed the business model, built the business back up, and got re-listed back on the NASDAQ.
Throughout this experience, it seemed unfair to Eric that it was the top executives at large companies and investment banks that enjoyed incredible access and privileges and not the entrepreneurs. He thought that it should be the entrepreneurs, the true value-creators that most deserved these benefits. But, historically, entrepreneurs were taken for granted as customers and did not have much purchasing power individually.
And so an idea was born.
In 2009, Eric set out to create a top-tier community around networking and benefits specifically for entrepreneurs.
Today, FoundersCard has grown to over 30,000 entrepreneurs around the world and partners with the very best travel, business, and lifestyle brands to provide its Members with high value benefits.
