Hi, I’m Jean. Welcome to my personal blog!
If you want to learn more about me and my journey so far, check out the about page.
This page serves as a quick introduction to what I think and write about, with some quick links to help you explore this blog.
My one focus is on living a good life by being free and fulfilled.
Balance is a core component of the freedom and fulfillment needed to live a truly good life. I believe that you can’t be happy if you’re a workaholic, no matter what you achieve in the work sphere of things. Likewise, if you are super healthy but you’re not doing anything meaningful, chances are you’re not going to be as happy as you could be.
So for me, there are four building blocks for living a balanced life:
- Health
- Relationships
- Mental clarity (knowledge and good thinking)
- Money
When I talk about health, I’m referring to eating well and being physically active on a daily basis.
Humans are nourished by meaningful relationships, especially those with family and close friends. It also means being open to other people and fostering a spirit of generosity.
Mental clarity can be achieved by keeping your mind primed by doing meaningful and exhilarating projects and lifelong education.
You also need money to cover your basic needs and fuel your dreams.
Keeping all four balanced and in harmony is the toughest job I can think of. It’s also immensely rewarding.
That’s the framework that I’m usually thinking about on a day-to-day basis. Writing helps me to make sense of things, and I usually end up writing about topics in order to understand them better.

Investing
I’ve written extensively about my financial journey and investing experiences on this blog.
If you want to check out some online platforms to get an idea of why I’m so excited about the endless possibilities for investing right from the comfort of our homes, check out the lists below.
Most platforms are available to international investors. Typically, U.K.-based platforms and many U.S.-based platforms restrict the investor pool to their own citizens due to their countries’ regulatory complications, however, the European platforms are typically open to all investors except those hailing from a few blacklisted countries.
P2P Lending Platform Reviews
P2P lending is an alternative investment that comes with its own risks but can provide high returns. I’ve been averaging around 12% across all the platforms I’ve invested in. Expect some portion of your loan portfolio to default at some point, it’s just the nature of this business, but this will usually be compensated by the profits you would have earned.
Here are a few of my favorite P2P lending investment platforms:
I’ve written extensively about this topic, so make sure you head over to my page on P2P lending for a deep dive into this asset class.
Property / Real Estate Platform Reviews
Real estate as an asset class has been one of the top choices for investors since time immemorial. Nothing beats owning land and buildings. It’s an asset that you can see, use or rent out. It doesn’t require any technical knowledge so the barrier to entry is very low. And that is why real estate remains the number one place for people to park their money.
I have been dabbling in real estate through various platforms over the years, and this has given me a good idea of what works and what doesn’t. Here’s a quick list of some of my favorite platforms reviewed on this site.

Cryptocurrencies
I love the innovation that is happening in the crypto space, and believe that many of the projects will change the financial world completely.
I’m particularly excited about Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Here’s a handy list of crypto exchanges that I’ve reviewed. These are all good for buying crypto and trading.
